Inspection records · tidep.xyz

The round, written down while you are still on it.

Tidep is the record for plants, utilities, and campuses. What was checked, what failed the limit, and what is still open when the shift changes.

The yard often has no signal.

The round stays on the device. The queue is a count of records, not a spinner.

An item has an owner, or it is not closed.

Closeout names a person. A held item names the date you will look again.

The pack leads with what is open.

The full round is behind that. Forty identical “ok” lines are not the first page.

Pittsburgh, since 2017.

About forty people. Routes, not a platform story.

Four parts of the same record.

Routes

The order of the walk

Assets in the order a person actually moves, with the note about the gate and what a normal reading looks like.

Deficiencies

What failed, and who has it

Opened from a reading that missed the limit. It stays open across shifts until someone closes it in the record.

A concrete intake tower at the edge of a reservoir, with a mowed embankment in the mist.

6 hours to 40 minutes

That is the time to assemble the Tuesday pack, not the time to walk the reservoirs. Fourteen reservoirs, three inspectors, one aide who used to retype the morning on Friday.

“I can read the open valves before the trucks are back. I am not building the report anymore.”

Dana Crowe, superintendent, Riverward Water

Where the round already has a shape.

Reservoir embankment and intake tower.

Utilities

Reservoirs, valve yards, substations. Routes that repeat, and readings you will want next to last month’s.

Stainless corridor in a food plant, with floor drains and a warmer room beyond.

Plants

Sanitation and startup. A food-contact item is either closed or the line does not start.

A brick campus plant with a short stack and a roll-up door.

Campuses

Steam traps, dorm rounds, lab hoods. The register is the walk, not a drawing of the whole campus.

Pricing

Priced by the person who can sign in.

Route is $16 a person a month. Plant is $36. Annual billing waives two months. Works is an order, for SSO and a retention schedule.
