Records
A record is one visit to one asset: checks, readings, photos, and the person who was there.
A record is one visit. It names the asset, the route, the person, and the time on the device. It holds the checks you completed and the ones you skipped.
Readings
Enter the reading in the unit the check asks for. Do not convert in your head and also type the raw number somewhere else. If the instrument gives you 12.4, the record is 12.4. The limit decides pass or fail. You can disagree with the limit, and the way to disagree is to tell an administrator, not to type a passing number over a failing one.
Photos
Take the photo on the check it belongs to. A photo on the whole visit is allowed, and it is labeled as unlabeled in the pack. That is deliberate. Two valves that look the same are how Friday used to go wrong at Riverward.
The photo is in the queue when the record says so. If the app is killed mid-write, release 2.7 keeps the file and does not pretend the record was saved without it. Details are on offline.
Skips
Skip a check only with a reason: no access, instrument down, unsafe. “Ran out of time” is a reason. A blank check is not a skip, and it is not a pass.
Edits
You can correct a reading you just entered. After the record has synced, a correction is a new line, not a silent overwrite. The pack shows the latest and can show that it was corrected. Supervisors see the correction. This is so a changed number has a history when someone asks in a month.
