Roles
Inspector, supervisor, and administrator. Works adds a read-only auditor who does not take a seat.
Three roles cover Route and Plant. A fourth exists only on Works.
Inspector. Walks routes, enters readings, takes photos, opens deficiencies by failing a check, and closes only their own items. Cannot edit limits, cannot edit the route’s order, cannot close a colleague’s item.
Supervisor. Everything an inspector can do, plus assign an owner, hold an item with a review date, close anyone’s item, and reopen. This is the person who decides the line starts, or the person who reads the pack before it goes upward.
Administrator. Edits routes, checks, and limits, and manages who is on the workspace. Should still be someone who understands the round. An administrator who has never walked it will encode the wrong order, confidently.
Auditor, Works only. Reads routes, records, and packs. Cannot record, assign, or close. Does not count as a paid seat. The order lists these people. If you need this on Plant, you are in a Works conversation, not a settings hunt. There is no hidden toggle.
A person has one role in a workspace. If someone walks on Tuesday and supervises on Thursday, they are a supervisor. The close restriction is there to stop the parking-lot close, and a dual role would punch a hole in it.
Remove a person by removing the seat. On Works, remove them in your identity provider and the seat follows. Shared logins are not supported, because a record without a person is the failure this product is for.
